CHIN 102 - Elementary Chinese II As a continuation of CHIN 101 , this Chinese course is designed to enhance students’ overall proficiency in standard (Mandarin) Chinese. Students will acquire fundamental skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing for everyday communication in Mandarin. Fundamentals of pronunciation, simplified writing forms, basic sentence structures, and Chinese culture will be introduced. Successful completion of CHIN 102 fulfills the Foreign Language Interconnecting Perspectives of the Dialogues.
Credit(s): 3 Prerequisite(s): CHIN 101 with a grade of “C” or higher, or equivalent proficiency level of Chinese. Registration Restriction(s): International students who are native speakers of Chinese may not enroll in this course.
