HLTH 245 - Substance Abuse Prevention This course is designed primarily for health science and exercise science pre-MAE majors to convey the impact of drug use and/or abuse on the lives of ordinary people. It will assist students in gaining a realistic perspective of drug-related problems in our society. Topics explored will include the history of drugs; how and why drug abuse occurs; how drug abuse relates to each profession; and drug abuse prevention. This course includes an integrated service learning component.
Prerequisite: Exercise Science or Health Science major. Credits: 3 hours When Offered: (offered spring only)
