HLTH 290 - Principles of Health Education and Health Science


This course will aid in the development of a basic foundation of awareness, knowledge, and skills from which to apply subsequent health education and health promotion principles. The course is based on the Seven Responsibilities of a Health Educator. In this course, students will participate in a group research project and become familiar with widely-used statistical software. This course includes an integrated service learning component.

Prerequisite: HLTH 255 and health science major.
Credits: 3 hours
