CLAS 261 - Greek Literature in Translation


A survey of prominent Greek authors of the Archaic and Classical periods. Students will read and discuss representative selections of genres such as epic, lyric poetry, tragedy, comedy, and philosophy. All readings will be in English translation.

Credits: 3 hours

NOTE: This course fulfills the Aesthetic: Literature Mode of Inquiry of the Liberal Studies Program.
