CLAS 262 - Roman Literature in Translation A survey of prominent Roman authors of the Republic and early Empire. Students will read and discuss representative selections of genres such as epic, lyric poetry, tragedy, comedy, and philosophy. All readings will be in English translation.
Credits: 3 hours When Offered: (offered fall, alternate years) NOTE: This course fulfills the Aesthetic: Literature Mode of Inquiry of the Liberal Studies Program.
NOTE: This course counts toward the 63-hour Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS) graduation requirement.
