HIST 142 - East Asian Civilization II The second half of the two-semester sequence of East Asian Civilization. It explores the following themes: the interaction between East Asia and the West, nationalism and imperialism, reform and revolution, democracy and modernization, leaders and masses, the future of East Asia and its role in global development.
Credits: 3 hours NOTE: This course fulfills the Historical Mode of Inquiry and the Intercultural Interconnecting Perspective of the Liberal Studies Program.
NOTE: History major Asian History course.
NOTE: This course counts toward the 63-hour Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS) graduation requirement.
