COMM 250 - Mass Communication Overview of the crucial roles that media play in modern society, with emphasis on theoretical perspectives and ethical clarification. The course focuses on structure and history of media industries. Students gain a critical, contextual understanding of media structures, history, and theories.
Prerequisite: COMM 170 or COMM 270 or COMM 272 or COMM 273 or COMM 274 or COMM 276. Credits: 3 hours NOTE: This course counts toward the 63-hour Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS) graduation requirement.
