JINS 311 - Race, Class, and Gender


Using the perspectives of multiple disciplines, students in the Race, Class, and Gender Seminar explore race, class, gender and sexuality as socially constructed categories that continue to wield considerable power over a person’s chances for success.

Prerequisite: Junior status.
Credits: 3 hours
NOTE: This course fulfills the Junior Interdisciplinary Writing-Enhanced Seminar Interconnecting Perspective of the Liberal Studies Program.
NOTE: This course counts toward the 63-hour Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS) graduation requirement.
