LING 324 - Topics in Sociolinguistics An intercultural examination of a particular sociolinguistic topic (e.g. language and gender, language and ethnicity, etc.), integrating linguistic, sociolinguistic, and anthropological approaches. Rotating topics might include Language and Ethnicity, Language and Gender, Dialectology, Politics and Language Policy, and Language Contact. May be elected more than once for credit under different topics.
Credits: 3 hours NOTE: Honors Scholar Course.
NOTE: This course fulfills the Intercultural Interconnecting Perspective of the Liberal Studies Program.
NOTE: This course counts toward the 63-hour Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS) graduation requirement.
