PSYC 445 - Positive Psychology Positive psychology is the study of how human beings prosper in the face of adversity. Its goal is to identify and enhance the human strengths and virtues that make life worth living and allow individuals and communities to thrive. This course will provide an introduction to positive psychology. It will examine the paradigm shift from pathology to strengths-based psychology. The course is designed to decrease stressors and enhance optimism and well-being.
Prerequisites: PSYC 166 and PSYC 266 Credits: 3 hours NOTE: This course counts toward the 63-hour Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS) graduation requirement.
