ES 347 - Motor Learning This course is designed to introduce major concepts and theories within motor learning and motor control across the lifespan. The course focuses on the behavioral, biomechanical, and neuromotor basis of development, acquisition, and performance of functional movement skills. Strategies to enhance both cognitive and motor skill learning and control are discussed for both typically developing and impaired individuals. Methods to apply the principles of motor skill learning to practice are discussed with emphasis on interventions from the perspective of teacher or therapist. Each student selects and learns a novel motor skill.
