				Affiliation: School of Arts & Letters DEPARTMENTAL HONORS IN SPANISH1. 3.5 overall GPA2. 3.5 GPA in major courses
 3. Either
 a. Study abroad (at least one summer); maintain a GPA of 3.5 or above in those courses ORb. Take one additional upper-division Spanish course OR
 c. Demonstrate excellence in undergraduate research outside of classwork OR
 d. Demonstrate significant activity/leadership in the Spanish program (Spanish Club, Sigma Delta Pi, Romance Language House)
 4. Demonstrate excellence in a capstone project.  DEGREE REQUIREMENTS: |  
													| Liberal Studies Program Requirements: 31-57 Credits
  Missouri Statute Requirement: 1-3 Credits
  Bachelor of Arts Requirement: 0-6 Credits
  MAJOR REQUIREMENTS:
 The Spanish major consists of two (2) parts: Required Support and Major Requirements.  Each student must complete both parts.Part I: Required Support: 3-9 Credits
  Part II: Major Requirements: 37 Credits
  And THREE of the following with only one at the 300-level
  Electives to Total: 120 Credits
  Notes:
  A maximum of 12 credits of coursework completed outside of the Truman Spanish program may be applied to the major.Students may apply to the major no more than 9 credits from any one full semester (fall or spring) study abroad program.Students may apply to the major no more than 6 credits from any one summer study abroad program.No grade of “D” in major courses is accepted toward the Spanish major. |   Return to: Academic Programs
