Environmental Studies Minor

Affiliation: Interdisciplinary Studies
This minor requires at least 16 Total Hours, including
- at least two credits of community learning;
- at least nine credits on-campus;
- at least six credits at the 300+ level, and
- at least one course (three or more credits) from two of the three areas: Science, Social Science, and Arts and Humanities.
- No more than 8 credits from any prefix other than ENVS may be counted towards the minor.
- All courses may double count with a student’s major, minor, or LSP requirements.
*Courses listed below with an asterisk may have substantial prerequisites that do not count towards the minor and/or seats may be limited to students in a particular major.

Area III: Arts and Humanities
Interdisciplinary and General Electives:
- Additional courses from the above areas
Petitioned Courses (no more than 6 credits, by substitution)
With the approval of the Environmental Studies Program Committee (who may seek appropriate documentation and consult with the instructor), other courses, including independent study and directed readings, may be allowed to count for the ENVS minor for a specific student if sufficient appropriate work is done (such as by choosing an appropriate topic for a major term paper).
