Program Requirements:

Computer Science majors cannot earn an Information Systems Minor. Students cannot earn both an Information Systems Minor and a Computer Science Minor.

The Information Systems Minor requires the successful completion of 18 credits of the following courses or their equivalents, at least 9 of which must be taken at Truman State University.

Required Courses:

CS 170 - Introduction to Computer Science I Credits: 4 OR
CS 180 - Foundations of Computer Science I

CS 360 - Systems Analysis and Design Credits: 3
CS 430 - Database Systems Credits: 3

Elective Courses:

Choose either two courses from Group A, or one course from Group A and one course from Group B.

CS 260 - Object-Oriented Programming and Design Credits: 3
CS 315 - Internet Programming Credits: 3
CS 370 - Software Engineering Credits: 3

Group B:

MATH 325 - Introduction to Operations Research Credits: 3
MATH 400 - Methods of Optimization Credits: 3
