Latin Minor

Program Requirements:

The Latin Minor requires the successful completion of at least 15 credits of the following courses:

a) Three Latin language courses numbered 251 or above; and
b) Two of the following related courses:

• any additional 300-level course(s) in Latin language
• ART 328 - The Art of Greece and Rome Credits: 3
• CLAS 205 - Topics in Classical Culture Credits: 3
• CLAS 262 - Roman Literature in Translation Credits: 3
• CLAS 310 - Classical Antiquity on Screen Credits: 3
• CLAS 352 - Roman Civilization Credits: 3
• CLAS 361 - Greek and Roman Mythology Credits: 3
• CLAS 363 - Women and Gender in Antiquity Credits: 3
• COMM 390 - Classical Rhetoric Credits: 3
• HIST 343 - Ancient Rome Credits: 4

Note:

No grade of “D” is accepted toward the Latin Minor.

A maximum of two courses (up to 8 credit hours) may double count for this minor and any other minor or major.
