Statistics Minor

Affiliation: School of Sciences & Mathematics

A statistics minor provides an introduction into the world of statistics: the study of the collection, analysis, interpretation, presentation, and understanding of data. Grounded in the liberal arts, statistics builds on techniques grounded in mathematics and computer science to solve real world problems across disciplinary boundaries.

Many statistics courses have additional prerequisites from Mathematics, Computer Science, or elsewhere that do not count for the Statistics minor. Students considering a Statistics minor are encouraged to talk to a member of the Statistics Department about potential course and elective options and preparation for careers in statistically-driven areas.
