The statistical methods minor requires the successful completion of the following courses or equivalent:

A: 4-5 Credit Hours

MATH 192 - Essentials of Calculus Credits: 4 hours
Or
MATH 198 - Analytic Geometry and Calculus I Credits: 5 hours

B: 3 Credit Hours

MATH 285 - Matrix Algebra Credits: 3 hours
Or
MATH 357 - Linear Algebra Credits: 3 hours

C: 3 Credit Hours

Choose one of the following courses:

STAT 375 - ANOVA/Experimental Design Credits: 3 hours
STAT 378 - Linear Regression/Time Series Credits: 3 hours

D: 6 Credit Hours

Choose two courses from the following:

One additional course from list C

STAT 374 - Statistical Quality Control Credits: 3 hours
STAT 376 - Nonparametric Statistics/Sampling Credits: 3 hours
STAT 380 - Topics in Statistical Methods Credits: 1-3 hours
STAT 487 - Topics in Statistics Credits: 1-3 hours

E: 3-4 Credit Hours

Statistical courses at the 300-level or above may be substituted for the section E requirement of the statistical methods minor with approval of the mathematics faculty. Courses from section E may have limited or no enrollment for non-majors in that area.
