The interdisciplinary Environmental Studies Minor requires the successful completion of six courses (16 credit hours minimum) consisting of two required courses and four elective courses; successful completion of a capstone project; and at least three courses (7 hours minimum) at the 300 level or above. A maximum of two courses may also count for major and/or JINS requirements.

A student intending to minor in environmental studies must submit a learning plan to the Environmental Studies Minor Committee for approval before beginning to work on the minor. The learning plan template may be obtained from the Office of Interdisciplinary Studies web page, and more information on completing and submitting the learning plan may be found there.
