The Department of Health and Exercise Sciences (HES) offers a Minor in Health Studies. The intent of the Health Studies Minor is to allow exploration in topics related to human health and well-being. This minor may enhance personal growth and/or be related to interest areas after graduation.

Program Requirements:

The Health Studies Minor requires the successful completion of the following 16 semester hours:

ES 205 - First Aid and CPR Credits: 2 hours
HLTH 150 - Nutrition in Health and Wellness Credits: 3 hours
HLTH 195 - Lifetime Health and Fitness Credits: 1.5 hours
HLTH 196 - Lifetime Physical Activities Credits: 0.5 hours
HLTH 240 - Issues in Consumer Health Credits: 3 hours
HLTH 265 - Drugs in Society Credits: 3 hours
HLTH 362 - Environmental Health Credits: 3 hours

Note:

A grade of “C” or higher must be achieved in all courses applicable to the Health Studies Minor.
