Additional Requirements
While not part of the minor, the requirements for candidates becoming actuaries include completion of the first two Actuarial Exams and completion of the courses that constitute the Validation of Educational Experience. The courses that prepare students for the first two exams are STAT 290, STAT 570, STAT 571, and MATH 330. Students meet the Validation of Educational Experience requirement by taking Society of Actuaries-approved courses in the areas of economics, corporate finance, and applied statistics. |
