Art Studio Minor

Program Requirements:


The Art Studio Minor requires the successful completion of 15 credits of the following courses:

  • Studio (to be selected from 200/300 level studio courses in one of the following areas: painting, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, fibers): 9 credits

Art Studio Minor Foundations Proficiency


Minors when declaring an art studio minor assemble three examples from ART115 Drawing I, ART210 Design I, or ART 211 Design II. The student meets with the faculty member responsible for the specialty in which they plan to minor (ceramics, fibers, painting, printmaking, or sculpture). The faculty member evaluates the submitted portfolio for approval of meeting minimum proficiency and notifies the Department chair of approval. Proficiency must be completed before any 300 level and above course can be taken.
