CHN 310 - China Study Abroad Program A five-week program providing language and culture instruction at Shanghai University in Shanghai, China. Students may participate without prior knowledge of Chinese. Language courses will be offered at all levels. The program will be taught by a Truman State University faculty member and professors of Shanghai University. The students will take field trips, visit museums and historic sites in Shanghai and near Shanghai. They will also have daily language lessons. During the first week, students will visit the capital of China (Beijing), the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, and the Summer Palace.
Credits: 6-7 hours NOTE: This course fulfills the Foreign Language Interconnecting Perspective of the Liberal Studies Program.
NOTE: This course counts toward the 63-hour Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS) graduation requirement.
