COMM 385 - American Rhetorical Traditions Surveys “Great Speeches” in the American rhetorical tradition and critically analyzes major rhetorical movements in American history. The course examines the relationship among rhetoric, ideology, and the development of American culture.
Prerequisite: COMM 357 or a classics major or a classical studies minor with permission of the Communication Department Chair. Credits: 3 hours NOTE: This course counts toward the 63-hour Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS) graduation requirement.
