ECON 200 - Principles of Macroeconomics


This course is an introduction to terms, tools, and concepts that are basic to macroeconomic analysis. Specifically, it models the determination of an economy’s aggregate income, output, employment, prices, and interest rates. It further examines how fiscal and monetary policies work and how they may be used to reach socially desirable outcomes.

Credits: 3 hours
NOTE: This course fulfills the Social Scientific Mode of Inquiry of the Liberal Studies Program.
NOTE: This course counts toward the 63-hour Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS) graduation requirement.
