ECON 313 - History of Economic Thought This course is an inquiry into the development of economic thought from past to present. It focuses on the analytical innovations in economic thought, beginning with the Greeks and extending to contemporary thinkers. It also stresses the persistence of certain topics such as money, macroeconomic stability, and value theory throughout the development of economic thought and considers the historical policy issues that inspired different thinkers to address these topics in a new and different way.
Prerequisites: ECON 200 & 201, or ECON 205. Credits: 3 hours When Offered: (offered spring only) NOTE: General Honors Course.
NOTE: This course counts toward the 63-hour Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS) graduation requirement.
