LING 319 - Linguistics of a Language or Language Family


The course will introduce students to the linguistics of a specific language or language family. Students will become familiar with relevant aspects of phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, and lexicon. Linguistics of the Romance Languages, Field Methods, and Historical Linguistics will be regular topics; other topics will be determined by faculty and student interests.

Prerequisite: LING 238.
Credits: 3 hours
NOTE: General Honors Course.
NOTE: This course counts toward the 63-hour Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS) graduation requirement.
