CS 480 - Artificial Intelligence Overview of some basic concepts of artificial intelligence. Designed to give insight into areas of active research and application. Programming in a language commonly used for artificial intelligence applications. Typical topics covered include expert systems, knowledge engineering, learning, natural language understanding, symbolic computation, automated reasoning, and neural networks.
Prerequisite: (CS 170 - Introduction to Computer Science I or CS 180 - Foundations of Computer Science I ) and junior status. Credits: 3 NOTE:
* Honors Scholar Course.
** This course counts toward the 63-credit Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS) graduation requirement.
*** Some sections of this course are writing-enhanced.
