BIOL 300 - Genetics


This course covers the nature, transmission, variation, and action of the genetic material. Topics include DNA replication, RNA transcription, protein translation, gene regulation, and epigenetics, mutations and DNA repair, inheritance patterns, population genetics, and quantitative genetics. The laboratory focuses on molecular biology and bioinformatics techniques. Core Biology Course - required of all Biology majors.
