Mathematics Minor

By exploring various theoretical and applied subjects in Mathematics beyond Calculus, the mathematics minor provides students a flexible opportunity to sharpen their quantitative and problem solving skills in ways that complement their majors and better equip them for a variety of career paths. 

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS:

  1. A 2.00 GPA in minor requirements.
  2. At least nine hours of the program requirements must be completed at Truman State University.

Program Requirements:


The Mathematics Minor requires the successful completion of the following 16 credits of coursework.

Elective Mathematics Courses


Choose courses totaling 12 credits from the following list. No course from another discipline may be substituted for the Mathematics Minor. Special topics courses taken under the numbers MATH 473, MATH 488, MATH 489, MATH 503, STAT 380, STAT 486, and STAT 487 may be used if approved by the mathematics faculty.
