The Health Data Analytics minor introduces students to the interdisciplinary field of health data analytics, which applies methods from statistics, data science, and the health sciences to the analysis and interpretation of health‑related data. Students develop foundational skills in data exploration, analytical modeling, visualization, and interpretation using real‑world health and population‑based datasets.
Grounded in the liberal arts and responsive to the growing demand for data‑literate professionals in health‑related sectors, the minor emphasizes quantitative reasoning, computational tools, and ethical data use. It is designed to complement a wide range of majors and enhances students’ ability to make evidence‑based decisions in contexts where health data play a central role. The Health Data Analytics minor prepares students for careers and further study in fields where analyzing and communicating insights from health data is essential.
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS:
- 1. A 2.00 GPA in minor requirements.
- At least 9 hours of the program requirements must be completed at Truman State University.
- The successful completion of all courses with a grade of “C” or higher.
